The 14th edition of the Funding the Commons brings together builders, researchers, and funders to ask: how do we build systems that unlock real solutions for real communities? Rules
Vickrey Auction
All bids are encrypted. At the end of the bidding period, all bids are decrypted. Once decrypted, the highest bidders wins but pays the second-highest amount. Example: If Alice bids $100 and Bob bids $80, Alice wins but pays $80.
Bid Fee
Each bid requires a $10 refundable bid fee, paid via the yodl link accessible from the "BID NOW" button above. Please use the same address to pay the bid fee and submit your bid.
Bid fees prevent spam and ensure serious bids.
Bid fees will be refunded in $SHU tokens, the goverance token of the Shutter DAO 0x36.
Winner will receive $SHU tokens in an airdrop after completing payment
Non-winners will get $SHU tokens when the end of the auction
Minimum Bid
The minimum bid is $1.
Additional Bids
You may increase your highest bid by placing one or more additional bids.
End Date & Time
The auction will end on Tuesday, 21 October 2025 at 12:00 GMT.
Winner
The winner is the highest bidder. If two or more bidders bid the same highest bid amount, the earliest bid is superior.
Payment
If the winner does not make full payment to APRENDO within 48 hours, then the winner will be disqualified and the second highest bidder will be declared the new winner.
Shutter API
Bids are encrypted with Shutter API's threshold encryption to ensure no one, not even the organizer, can peek at the bids while encrypted.
Prize Delivery
Devconnect ARG and Funding the Commons will deliver the both tickets within 48 hours of full payment.
Personal Information
All bid information (name, contact info, bid amount and Ethereum address) will be publicly visible upon decryption at the end of the auction. If you do not wish to dox yourself, please create a psudonym, generate a new email address and/or use a clean Ethereum address.
